Grab a new Lost Falls short story (and a whole lot more!)

EDIT: This box set is no longer available, but you can still grab my story Blood Money on Amazon here.

Me and a bunch of other urban fantasy authors have teamed up to bring you an box set of supernatural thrills and chills that will keep you entranced for a very long time.

And that includes a brand new, never-seen-before short story featuring your favorite cunning man! Ozzy can track down anyone, but when he’s hired to return a missing bloodslave to her vampire mistress, the question is not whether he can, but whether he should.

Of course, there’s also a whole heap of other stories from some fantastic authors, including full-length novels, novellas, and short stories. Maybe you’ll recognize some of the names: James Hunter of Yancy Lazarus fame, Brad Magnarella with a Croft and Wesson novel, M.D. Massey with a Colin McCool story, and more! Check below for the full list of authors.

Best of all, this anthology is stupidly cheap. There’s more than 1000 pages of urban fantasy goodness in this thing, and you can grab it right now for just $0.99.

We’re practically giving it away!

Check out the blurb below and grab your copy from Amazon now!

Orcs, vampires, rogue mages, and strange familiars… The night’s filled with beasts looking for kicks, who trod the urban landscape with cloven hoof or sharpened claw, keeping a yellow eye out for easy prey. But what’s a citizen to do when dark shadows lie heavy, spells become useless, and wands lose their charm?

They call on the heroes of Eight in the Chamber.

These hardboiled cops and investigators specialize in a preternatural kind of justice. They aren’t afraid to delve into dark magic or wield a cursed instrument to save the pure and innocent. They won’t quit until every dark deed is punished, and the scales of justice are balanced.

In Eight in the Chamber, a cadre of your favorite authors have banded together to bring you all the thrills of the urban supernatural, with a twist of sci-fi noir, in a collection of full length novels, spellbinding novellas, and enough short stories to choke a bag of holding.

Featuring stories from:

Alex Berg
Chris Underwood
James Hunter
Brad Magnarella
Matt Abraham
Kit Hallows

AND MD Massey

What’s Happening With Book 2?

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to drop by to let you know I’m still hard at work on Book 2. I think it’s shaping up to be a pretty damn good story (I would say that, though, wouldn’t I?). Ozzy is going to be uncovering one of Lost Falls’ long buried secrets. But secrets, as we all know, can be dangerous things…

So when is it coming out? Unfortunately, as a stay-at-home dad, my writing time is a little limited. And it doesn’t help that ever since my daughter became mobile I’ve had to spend most of my time chasing her around the house, trying to keep her from maiming herself. Which she thinks is a great game.

That means Book 2 won’t be out as soon as I hoped. Please forgive the delay. I’m not the fastest writer out there, but I’m going to do my damnedest to make the book worth the wait! And I’ve also got some other cool projects in the pipeline which I’m sure you’ll all enjoy.

If you want to be the first to know when Book 2 comes out, please sign up for my mailing list here: http://www.subscribepage.com/chrisunderwoodweb You’ll also get an exclusive short story prequel to Cunning Devil. It’s win-win!

Oh, and one last thing. Book 2 now has a title: Pay Dirt. What does it mean? Well, you’ll just have to wait to find out…

Welcome to Lost Falls

Cunning DevilI’m excited to announce that my debut urban fantasy novel, Cunning Devil, is now available on Amazon.

For a little taster, check out the blurb below, then pick up your copy on Kindle or in paperback.

And if that’s not enough for you, I’m also giving away free copies of the prequel novella, Crooked Foundations. Ozzy Turner takes on his first solo job, and uncovers a terrible secret about one of his closest friends. Get your copy by signing up here.

Now I better get back to writing the sequel!

In a town where the monsters don’t always have claws, someone has to look out for the little guy. That’s where I come in.

They call me cunning man, conjurer, wizard, but mostly they call me Ozzy. If a witch is throwing curses your way, or there’s something scary scratching at your window in the night, I’ve got just the charm for you.

Mostly, though, I find things. Lost treasures, missing loved ones, doesn’t matter. If you want something found, I’m your guy. For a nominal fee, of course.

So when a grieving father hired me to track down a stolen family heirloom, I was happy to help. Trouble is, what started out as another garden-variety stolen property job just ended in attempted murder. Mine.

They made a mistake, though, when they put a bullet in my stomach and left me for the worms.

They didn’t bury me deep enough.
